Welcome to Blind Book & Kraft

There's something magical about opening a book without knowing what's inside. No back cover to analyze, no reviews to scrutinize, no algorithm to decide for you. Just kraft paper, string, and the promise of a wonderful encounter.

That's exactly the idea behind Blind Book & Kraft.

The concept of a blind date with a book was born about ten years ago in an Australian bookstore, before conquering the United Kingdom, the United States, and slowly making its way to France. We embraced it with conviction: the best reads are often those you would never have chosen yourself.

Here, each blind box is prepared by hand. The book is carefully selected: crime novel, romance, fantasy, horror, classic, psychological or poetic novel, wrapped in kraft paper and tied with care. A few clues on the packaging, no more. The rest is for you to discover when you unwrap it.

We also include little treats to make the moment even more enjoyable: a bookmark, stickers, a reading log, a tea or coffee sachet for cozy reading, and a few other surprises depending on the boxes.

Our books can be new or second-hand, but always in perfect condition – that's our commitment. Because a surprise is worth it.

Behind the store

Blind Book & Kraft is me, Léa. A Master's student in Cultures and Web Professions, with a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Regional Civilizations in English, and above all, a passionate reader since always. This store was born somewhere in between, between the love of books and the desire to create something that pays homage to them, in my own way.
